I am a mother of four with a love for fitness; I live a fulfilled life of happiness and healthfulness. However, it was not always this way, like many people my childhood was not exactly picture-perfect. My parents lived a life of drug addiction, and I feel as though this heavily impacted my life direction. Their decisions made me want a better life for my own family and myself. I was a single mom for ten years, working as a waitress and later a secretary, all while juggling the responsibilities that come with parenting. I was lost for a very long time, being a smoker and a young person who enjoyed partying, but when I got saved by God, I decided to change my ways.
After getting married in 2011, I had another baby in 2012, I gained 40lbs and struggled to lose the weight after delivery. On more than one occasion I turned to weight loss products to help, but nothing was keeping the weight off. I knew of the numerous bootcamp success stories Crystal and the trainers would share, but I was still to stubborn and resentful at the time because I felt that the gym had taken my sister from me. I was struggling to lose the weight by myself and started feeling hopeless, depressed and frustrated. I could not stand the person I saw in the mirror. I wanted to give up but I reached out to my sister, got with a trainer and lost those 40 pounds. All the while I found myself falling in love with the gym and spin. One of my turning points was when I would run with people to the finish line even after I had finished. Motivating them to finish made me realize how much I enjoyed encouraging others just as much as I enjoyed motivating my bootcamp sisters. My sister was right, crazy really works. Come get crazy fit with me!
